Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Radiology Ultrasound Technician to join our partner hospital in Abilene, Texas.

Job Summary :
As a Radiology Ultrasound Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound scanning procedures, capturing detailed anatomical images, identifying potential pathology, and reporting preliminary findings to the Radiologist.
You will play a key role in the diagnostic process, contributing to accurate and timely patient care.
Responsibilities :
Perform ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
Operate ultrasound equipment, adjusting settings and techniques to optimize image quality.
Explain procedures to patients, address their questions and concerns, and ensure their comfort throughout the examination.
Identify and document any abnormal findings or suspected pathology.
Maintain accurate and complete patient records, adhering to confidentiality and privacy guidelines.
Collaborate with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Required Qualifications :
Education : Graduate of an accredited Radiology or Ultrasound program.
Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Ultrasound Technician.
Licenses / Certifications :
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) eligibility.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Texas Medical Board MRT (Medical Radiologic Technologist) certification or ARDMS certification.
