This is a full-time, 9-month, unclassified, tenure-track position. The appointment begins in August .

Required : Earned doctorate in biology or related area and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Position Duties / Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for functions related to teaching, advising, research, and service. The successful candidate will be expected to teach human anatomy and physiology (both lecture and lab) and introductory biology courses.
The successful candidate also will be provided with opportunities to develop and teach advanced undergraduate / graduate courses in their area of specialty.
Standard teaching responsibility will be 12 contact hours per regular semester and may include evenings. Summer teaching may also be available.
The successful candidate is expected to possess teaching experience in higher education and to develop an active research program involving undergraduate / graduate students.
