Role description :
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager for our team in Atlanta, GA. The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing and managing the project controls functions for large-scale transportation projects.
Role accountabilities :
- Manages the GA PMCM East team (within 6 months of employment)
- Manages the projects as assigned and as an Arcadis Certified Project Manager (within 8 months of employment). This includes oversight and management of project controls team and assignments, as well as budget constraints relative to assignments.
- Brings in new contracts and projects through business development (within 24 months of employment), particularly in GA.
- Supports the process including preparing and analyzing cost estimates for various Design and Construction projects, supports change / work order review and management, supports and leads the team in analyzing and responding to claims, disputes,
- Interfaces with the project development processes and supports by preparing contract time determination reports, performing constructability reviews, and other similar support type applications.
- Establishes and manages processes and procedures for both cost and schedules assessment, forecasting corrective actions review, progress measurement, reporting, and productivity analysis.
- Establishes and manages processes and procedures to report contract, cost, schedule metrics to GDOT, TDOT, VDOT, etc.
- Provides a programmatic document control and tracking system for correspondence, notices, and any other type of project and / or construction documentation.
- Oversees document control, schedule management, and project management relative to assignments
- Manages TIFIA reporting, project reporting and project finances.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in project controls, with a significant portion of that time spent on large-scale transportation projects.
Key Skills and Abilities :
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, ERP systems).
- Experience with Change Order Processing is preferred
- Field experience on various types of transportation construction projects, such as roadways, bridges, rail systems, etc.
- Large scale transportation construction experience as a project manager, project engineer, or field engineer is preferred.
