Position Overview :
The Pantry Chef at STK Steakhouse plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and presentation of cold food items, including salads, appetizers, and desserts.
This position is essential in maintaining the high standards of the STK culinary team, focusing on precision, presentation, and consistency in all dishes.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, upscale environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare & Present Dishes : Prepare cold appetizers, salads, and other items according to the menu specifications, recipes, and presentation standards of STK Steakhouse.
- Quality Control : Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and comply with food safety standards.
- Efficient Operations : Maintain a clean and organized pantry station, managing the daily setup and breakdown of the area.
- Consistency : Deliver consistent quality and presentation of all menu items, ensuring adherence to portion sizes and recipe guidelines.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other kitchen staff, following the guidance of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Adherence to Health & Safety Standards : Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness of work areas.
- Inventory & Stocking : Assist in monitoring pantry inventory levels, managing supply needs, and minimizing food waste.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a Pantry Chef, Garde Manger, or similar role in a high-volume, fine-dining environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cold food preparation, plating, and presentation techniques.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Culinary degree or equivalent training is a plus.
