Job Summary :
The Business Development Manager will solicit potential business partners, gain interest, and secure meetings with decision-makers to land a partnership related to temporary (contingent staffing), temp-to-hire, direct search and placement services, and the full suite of services.
The BDM role is structured to meet goals while also receiving training, coaching, direction, and insight from the Director of Sales and Marketing and other Executive leaders.
BDMs will be physically present to attend staff meetings and check in at least 4 days of the week in the office, engaging with the branch managers and their teams to ensure proper prospecting and sales targets.
BDM's will be expected to get into the field on these days as well so they can meet their objectives.
Key Attributes
The Business Development Manager must have the ability to call on C-Level Executives, Hiring Managers, Plant Managers and Supervisors in various industries including but not limited to, manufacturing, food production, logistics and other supply chain verticals.
The BDM must be an effective listener to engage prospects through a collaborative sales approach, which will help develop proposed solutions for the prospect.
Responsibilities
- Solicit new business by pursuing leads through consultative sales.
- Cold calling- virtual & face-to-face
- Develop and Execute Marketing Campaigns
- Secure minimum sales metric expectations.
- Prompt follow-up on all leads and opportunities.
- Understand pricing models, & processes to secure profitable business.
- Accurately log and maintain sales activity into the CRM system.
- Perform credit checks and obtain corresponding WC Codes for new business.
- Set up new clients in the ATS system.
- Perform necessary safety walk-throughs / evaluations.
- Adhere to compliance policies.
- Exercise independent judgment and critical thinking in handling responsibilities related to new business development and recruiting.
