Description
Larson is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to lead front-end engineering and detailed design of projects throughout various Agriculture facilities, preferably grain handling.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience in engineering consulting, design engineering of construction documents, as a multi-disciplinary project lead, and supervising heavy industrial projects.
This position is for engineering leaders who can direct multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate with clients in executing design projects and utilize technical resources from across the company.
A well-qualified candidate will also be an independent leader in the company and have a growth mindset with a willingness to address all aspects of industrial projects.
This position will work directly with multiple disciplines from initial concept through design and construction. The position will have direct contact with clients, vendors, and contractors to coordinate and meet project goals.
As an engineering consultant, a broad knowledge of the latest equipment and technology used in industrial facilities is valued, ideally within the grain industry.
Specific Responsibilities include
Leading, performing, and overseeing specific projects or tasks.
Demonstrate leadership with excellent engineering analysis and judgment providing appropriate results and responsiveness to clients
Maintaining project schedules and budgets, and directing various team members to best complete project tasks required.
Coordinating with other disciplines as project lead to facilitate project completion of all necessary tasks.
Developing conceptual plans, layouts, and project scopes.
Developing flow diagrams and Process & Instrument Diagrams.
Creating Project Capital Cost Estimating and Project Schedule development for front-end engineering and detailed design projects.
Creating equipment, project, and material specifications.
Performing field verifications of new designs and existing environments.
Creating reports, project summaries, and recommendations.
Developing projects from initial design concepts through construction.
Providing onsite bid, design, and construction assistance.
Ability to Travel as needed, typically less than 5%.
Experience in AutoCAD design and 3-D modeling is necessary for directing others.
Skills / Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or Industrial, Mechanical Engineering Technology.
10 or more years of experience in a Design Engineering and construction of agricultural projects preferably grain handling.
Licensed Professional Engineer.
Highly proficient in bulk material handling.
Consulting Engineering experience preferred.
Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills.
Excellent written communication skills.
