Position Summary :
The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for handling inquiries about our treatment programs
and services, conducting initial assessments to determine eligibility, and guiding potential
patients through the admissions process. This role is essential in providing compassionate
support to individuals and families during difficult times while ensuring a smooth transition into
our treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities :
Handle incoming calls from individuals seeking information about our treatment programs and
services.
- Conduct initial assessments to determine eligibility for admission based on established criteria.
- Provide accurate and detailed information about our programs, services, and admissions
process.
- Build rapport and establish trust with potential patients through empathetic communication.
- Discuss health insurance benefits and financial requirements to facilitate entry into our
program.
- Provide reassurance and intervention to individuals or families in crisis situations.
- Utilize exceptional sales and interpersonal skills to guide potential patients through the
admissions process and encourage them to choose our facility.
Collaborate with clinical staff and other departments to ensure a smooth transition for admitted
patients.
- Coordinate admissions from existing referral sources.
- Assist with coordinating travel for qualified patients.
- Maintain electronic records and documentation of all calls and interactions using Salesforce
CRM.
Qualifications :
Previous experience in a call center, sales, or customer service role in a behavioral health or
substance use disorder treatment setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Empathetic and compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Exceptional closing skills and the ability to overcome objections.
- Real-time problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with behavioral health admissions is an asset.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, electronic medical records, and standard office
software.
Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment and recovery processes is required.
