Job Summary

The duration of this temporary assignment is 5 months.

  • Processes a variety of operational, personnel, and financial transactions and services for the clinical and administrative arms of the ZSFG Division of the UCSF Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences.
  • Areas of focus will include accounts receivable / invoice review; accounts payable; purchasing; recharges; expense reporting;

cash and check handling; data entry, analysis, and reporting; compliance, and customer service.

  • Independently performs analyses of simple to moderately complex financial services such as setting up vendors and compiling scopes of work, researching discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with external regulations and internal policies.
  • Prepares reports and analyses to include summaries of financial transactions for review and decision-making.
  • Reviews and processes standardized financial data and transactions.
  • Ensures that the appropriate internal controls are addressed, maintained and strengthened to protect University resources.

Monitors the delivery of quality customer service to various constituencies to include internal department clients and external vendors.

  • Prepares basic financial and resource reports and / or analysis for internal department constituents.
  • Manages information technology, telecommunication, and equipment inventories and associated financials.

Department Description

UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations.

UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment.

Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.
