Spencer Ogden, a leading recruiting agency specializing in energy and infrastructure, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Water Resources Engineer for one of our prestigious clients in Northern California.

This position involves working on innovative water resource projects, including hydrology, hydraulics, and water quality management.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for various water resource projects.
  • Develop and implement water management plans and strategies.
  • Design and oversee the construction of water resource structures such as dams, levees, and flood control systems.
  • Perform watershed and floodplain modeling using industry-standard software.
  • Prepare technical reports, design documents, and regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive water resource solutions.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
  • Stay updated with advancements in water resource engineering and implement best practices.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in water resources engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM).
  • Strong understanding of water resource principles, regulatory requirements, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months is preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
