- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to strategize, implement and build constituency programs and activities.
- Direct experience in leading a team to success in a management role.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize work projects, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Blackbaud software such as Raisers Edge (or similar) database and Luminate Online (or similar) email marketing client.
- Five years of progressively responsible experience in a large-scale university advancement office.

Job Description The Office of Alumni Engagement seeks an enthusiastic professional to join the alumni engagement team as the Director of Alumni Engagement.
This position is responsible for the planning and implementation of events, initiatives, programs, and services that engage more than , alumni with Texas State University.
This position is a member of the Office of Alumni Engagement, which works in partnership with the Texas State Alumni Association, a c3 nonprofit, and its Board of Directors.
The Office of Alumni Engagement is in the Division of University Advancement which encompasses Development and Donor Engagement.
The position reports to the Executive Director of Alumni Engagement. Job Duties
- Direct and supervise day-to-day activities of the Alumni Engagement team.
- Manage the overall strategy and implementation of a comprehensive alumni network program to increase engagement in key regional and affinity areas.
- Lead projects such as the annual Distinguished Alumni Gala and oversee other signature alumni event programming, such as alumni tailgates and Ring Celebration.
- Cultivate relationships with alumni for roles as active volunteers, network leaders, board members, classroom speakers, mentors, etc.
- Develop engagement strategies to increase philanthropy through annual giving programs like Forever Bobcats and Step Up for State.
- Collaborate with University Advancement communications staff to develop strategies to effectively engage alumni via email newsletters, event invitations, social media platforms, website updates, and print materials.
- Work with Development Officers to engage donors and prospects through alumni programs.
- Build relationships across campus to provide leadership, expertise and collaboration on alumni engagement opportunities supporting university priorities.
- Travel and work weekend and evening hours as required for events and programming.
- Other duties as assigned.
