Basic Job Functions
The Position :
Production Associates manufacture, assemble and support the production of . products. This could include the production of doors, door assemblies, or other support components.
Related Job Duties :
- Reads production paperwork and performs work as assigned by the department supervisor.
- Assembles the materials to produce garage doors and / or assemblies.
- Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages and include correct shipping documents.
- Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.
- Notify the supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
- Place finished goods in the proper area and / or trailer for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Maintain production standards without compromising quality.
- Other reasonably related duties as assigned.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications :
Minimum of 1-year of previous general labor and / or customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
2 years of previous experience in manufacturing, operating heavy machines, punch tooling, and hand tools, and have mechanical aptitude.
