Job Summary
The Planning and Research Analyst Senior handles the most complex analysis and issues where considerable judgment, tact, discretion, and initiative are required to resolve problems and make recommendations.
As part of the Title V grant, this incumbent routinely provides support to faculty & staff for departmental data projects.
The Planning and Research Analyst Senior provides literacy efforts for the campus while participating in institutional effectiveness efforts such as : Assessment, Program Review, Strategic Planning, and completing ad-hoc data requests.
This is a Specially Funded position with a projected end date of 9-30-2025 with renewal contingent on funding source.
Essential Functions
40% - Data Literacy Lead - Analyzes, develops, and administers data literacy efforts for the campus. Plans, evaluates, and coordinates functional and organizational standards and practices for data literacy;
Leads the development and implementation of Data literacy in support of institutional effectiveness efforts.
25% - Training and Assessment - Plans, organizes, evaluates, and conducts training in the use of data in relation to institutional effectiveness efforts.
Creates reports and updates visualizations related to data literacy outcomes.
25% - Consulting and Decision Support - Serves as a subject-matter expert by providing professional-level staff support, consultation, and assistance to college committees, advisory groups, departments, or leaders which may include performing research, authoring documents, making presentations, and providing technical assistance.
Serves on and supports efforts of college committees, task forces, and work groups. Anticipates data and decision support needs of college stakeholders.
10% - Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in business statistics, educational studies, business administration, or directly related field and four (4) years of professional-level experience in research and analysis that includes responsibility for coordinating projects and programs.
Associate Degree and six (6) years of full-time equivalent professional-level experience in research and analysis that includes responsibility for coordinating projects and programs.
High School Diploma / GED and eight (8) years of full-time equivalent professional-level experience in research and analysis that includes responsibility for coordinating projects and programs.
Desired Qualifications
1. Experience presenting complex research results and explaining data literacy concepts, either with written reports or verbal presentations.
2. Experience using queries to extract data from relational databases.
3. Experience conducting statistical analysis, and building data visualizations.
4. Experience in program review or strategic planning.
Special Working Conditions
Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is desired; must meet minimum standards regarding driving : http : / / www.
