We are dedicated to creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for our members and guests. Chip’s is seeking a dynamic and experienced full-time Cafe & Bar Manager to join our team to ensure the smooth operation of our food and beverage services.
Job Overview
The Cafe & Bar Manager must first have a passion for both people and food. The overarching goal is to deliver an exceptional experience to every guest and to drive profitability in this area of the club.
The Cafe & Bar Manager oversees the daily operations of the coffee shop (6am - 4pm) and the restaurant / bar (4pm - 10pm).
This role demands a proactive leader who can manage staff, maintain high levels of organization, manage inventory and ordering, experiment with new food & drink recipes, develop and update menus, and ultimately ensure excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate is skilled in both coffee shop and restaurant / bar management with a passion for creating community around great food and drink.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management : Ensure smooth operations during coffee shop hours (6am - 4pm) and restaurant / bar hours (4pm - 10pm).
- Staff Training & Development : Ongoing training of food service staff and creation of processes for efficient food and beverage service.
- Inventory Management : Oversee inventory management and ordering of all food and beverages (alcoholic and N / A).
- Vendor Relations : Maintain good communication and relationships with food and drink vendors.
- Menu Development : Ideate, experiment, and develop menus. Consolidate ingredient lists to reduce waste.
- Event Coordination : Work with our Events Manager to ensure an enjoyable experience at private events.
- General Management : Perform any other tasks typical of a restaurant manager to ensure the overall success of the cafe and bar.
- Reporting : Accurately report sales and relevant expenses using the Toast POS system.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a coffee shop manager, restaurant manager, or similar role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of inventory management and restaurant organization
- Creative and strategic thinker with a passion for menu development
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Schedule Requirements
This position requires on average 40 hours of work per week. Hours may vary per week and some weeks may require working more hours than others.
This position requires working on evenings and weekends. All hours and schedules are subject to modification to meet business needs and personal needs of the Cafe & Bar Manager.
