Lisa Cole with Robert Half is partnering with a reputable organization is currently seeking an enthusiastically Construction Project Accountant to oversee all accounting processes for our construction projects.
Key responsibilities for this role include managing all aspects of the project accounting lifecycle, from project set-up to bank draws, subcontractor payments, and project close-out.
The successful candidate will also be expected to prepare detailed monthly reporting, including financial statements, job cost summaries, and balance sheet account reconciliations.

Role Responsibilities :
- Managing monthly loan draw funding requests
- Processing timely subcontractor payments
- Communicating effectively with vendors and subcontractors to resolve issues
- Compiling and analyzing lien releases and certified payroll
- Generating monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and job cost reports
- Preparing year-end tax return workpapers for external CPA firms
- Maintaining bank account balances
- Capturing and recording all necessary activity via journal entries
- Closing out construction jobs at completion
- Retrieving and managing information needed for final cost certification and loan conversions
- Handling bond arbitrage reporting
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in handling Bank Reconciliations.
- Advanced understanding of General Ledger operations.
- Ability to accurately process Journal Entries.
- Experience with Month End Close procedures.
- Familiarity with Construction Loans and their accounting processes.
- Capability to Prepare Financial Statements.
