Job Description :
Join our team as an Intermediate Paralegal, where you'll play a crucial role in assisting attorneys and supervisors with corporate and transactional legal work.
You'll be involved in a variety of tasks, including legal research, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and maintaining our legal electronic database.
This role offers a hybrid work model, requiring you to be onsite 2-3 days per week.
Job Responsibilities :
- Draft and review basic legal, loan, and collateral documentation, correspondence, and opinions.
- Maintain perfection of collateral, including extensions, amendments, and continuations as needed.
- Conduct UCC lien searches for verification and determination of lien position.
- Assist in drafting, updating, and maintaining standard loan documentation language and templates.
- Perform legal audits and maintain legal files and electronic database.
- Respond to customer requests related to transaction status updates after consulting with an attorney.
Skills Required :
- Minimum of two years of paralegal experience, preferably in a secured lending practice or law firm.
- High School Diploma. College degree and paralegal certification preferred.
- Familiarity with mortgage / deed of trust documents, UCC search and filings, title, property, general liability, and flood insurance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
