Summary : The Regional Sales Manager (Northwest Territory) is an individual contributor role responsible for establishing relationships with current security dealers and developing new business to drive sales and growth for the region.

Primary point of contact for residential and light commercial security and access control product sales in the region.

Salary range is $60,000 to $80,000 depending on experience.

Commission program : $40,000 annually based on performance.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Meet with prospective dealers to assess their current needs, recommend product solutions to fill those needs.
  • Hunt, farm, and close new security dealers on an ongoing basis.
  • Meet with current customers to discuss their evolving product needs while continually assessing purchasing relationship.
  • Provide the necessary support to dealers and distribution branch locations to drive business growth.
  • Organize and deliver training for dealers and distribution branches.
  • Develop monthly field sales action and travel plans to drive the new business development and growth for the region.
  • Develop and implement new programs, cross selling opportunities, sales initiatives, and strategies to capture new business opportunities in the region.
  • Document customer interactions and maintain data related to activities, accounts, and partners in SF.com.
  • Manage and attend state association, Alarm.com, distributor and dealer events to capture leads and drive sales.
  • Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reviewing professional publications, participating in professional societies, and establishing personal internal and external company networks.
  • Keep current with economic indicators, changing trends, supply and demand and competitors to maintain sales volume and product mix.
  • Work with your Manager to establish sales objectives by projecting expected sales volume and forecasting and developing sales quotas for the region as requested.
  • Surpass individual targets in alignment with the strategies and policies of the company.
  • Attend sales conferences as required.

Qualifications :

  • Requires minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience. B2B experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree with 7 years’ outside sales experience
  • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated consultative sales skills with ability to ask for the business.
  • Ability to plan, manage, and cover a large multi-state region.
  • Ability to formulate sales growth strategies for dealers and distributor branch locations.
  • Proven ability to meet sales goals and excel in a goal-driven environment.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and sales multipliers.
  • Computer literacy required, including intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft applications (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT, etc.), Salesforce.com.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and able up to travel up to 80% overnight with balance in home office.
  • Manage company resources conservatively.
  • Meet budget submission deadlines.
