Director of High School Ministry

Position Title : Director of High School Ministry (9th-12th grade)
Reports To : Associate Pastor of Community Life
Compensation : $20,000-$24,000
Job Type : Part Time, 15-20 hours / week

- A strong commitment to personal spiritual growth and discipleship
Responsibilities :
- Cultivate a welcoming and affirming space for students to explore faith, questions, and doubts.
- Build meaningful relationships with students through fellowship and personal invitation.
- Provide consistent opportunities for students to connect with each other and the church.
- Help disciple students in their journey of faith through teaching creative and engaging lessons relevant to the experience of youth today.
- Develop youth programming that reflects the needs and desires of the current community of students in the church.
- Work with Christian Education Staff, Student Ministry Focus Team volunteers, and parents to coordinate larger youth community events.
- Plan mission-oriented experiences for students to serve in different community contexts.
- Partner with Christian Education Staff on aiding the transitions through youth and children’s programs.
- Collaborate with church staff on a regular basis to stay updated on all-church programming.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working and connecting with youth and / or children
- Experience teaching, training, or presenting in a large or small group
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including familiarity with social media
- Demonstrated ability to recruit volunteers and plan events
- Have an understanding of and commitment to the ministry’s values, mission, and goals
- College-level education preferred
