We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fab Tech / Machine Operator to join our team in Smyrna, TN. As the Fab Tech Operator, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the fabrication of various products.
This is a hands-on position that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and a passion for creating high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble various products according to blueprints and specifications
- Operate LVD and / or Cincinnati brakes at required rates
- Set up and run Amada turrets at required rates
- Offer valuable product improvement suggestions
- Operate and maintain fabrication machinery and equipment
- Weld and join metal components using various welding techniques
- Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the fabrication process
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative fabrication solutions
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience working as a Fab Tech or in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of fabrication techniques and processes
- Proficient in operating fabrication machinery and equipment
- Strong welding skills and experience with various welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with relevant software and tools
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as needed
