What We Need
We’re looking for an experienced Lead Product Manager to develop critical capabilities for our backend-as-a-service platform.
2K’s game studios and publishing teams rely on our platform to perform consistently, reliably, and cost-effectively at scale.
Likewise, our own platform engineering teams require robust infrastructure and shared technology to maximize the value they deliver.
The strategy you lead will ensure their success.
You’ll partner closely with other platform teams as well as the broader 2K organization to identify and deliver opportunities that enable 2K’s growth and delight our players.
What You Will Do
Own the vision and strategy for productizing our platform’s core cloud infrastructure and devops practice. You will support all of 2K by ensuring that our platform teams can innovate at the speed of our business, and can depend on a robust set of shared, foundational technologies.
For teams integrating with our platform, you will unlock new efficiencies and capabilities through new infrastructure products.
Form productive, positive partnerships with product and technical leads across our platform organization, through which you will identify shared opportunities to extend our capabilities, improve operational discipline, and advance our platform strategy.
In partnership with other 2K technical teams, including Site Reliability Engineering and Infrastructure Operations, you will drive critical observability, integration, and cost-management outcomes that benefit all our titles.
Align stakeholders, partners, and teams to the vision. You will inspire trust and confidence in your ability to deliver through strong communication and reliable delivery.
You will advocate on behalf of your teams and the rest of our platform organization.
Work closely with your peers in engineering and program management to plan effectively, validate product and technical assumptions, and iteratively deliver high-quality product increments.
You will contribute to our shared understanding of what good looks like across multiple dimensions of product and technical quality.
Requirements capture and validation, road mapping, competitive analyses, customer interviews, strategic planning, KPI development and reporting.
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit
- 7-10+ years in product management, developing and delivering technical software products.
- Background in cloud infrastructure and / or devops as a product or engineering leader. You have opinions on how to deliver scalable, fault-tolerant and observable production systems to a global organization, and on how best to productize development and delivery best practices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with keen attention to detail. You have experience presenting to senior management and key stakeholders to drive decisions and win buy-in for your ideas.
You excel at earning trust and are comfortable saying no and can align your audience on why it’s the right answer.
Enthusiastic about building products, organizations, and culture. You thrive in low structure but are excited about creating the structures we require to succeed.
You project coolness under pressure and stability amid high-velocity change. You champion 2K values and help others to grow.
- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Passion for gaming.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $138,500 and $204,980 per Year.
However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and / or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
