Your role and responsibilities

Identify, address, and resolve concerns or gaps with processes or documentation for health & safety aspects Conduct safety risk assessments and maintain statistics on safety program.

Maintain and ensure plant wide compliance with OSHA, State, Local and Company regulations Maintain solid relationships with regulatory agencies, annually submit safety aware application to NCDOL and lead site efforts with all re-certifications to maintain Carolina Star Program status Facilitation of new hire safety orientation and sitewide monthly safety training Build relationships with people leaders and employees, empower them to proactively find and resolve potential safety concerns Ensure contractors are following the tenants of our contractor safety program Collaborate with Security to enforce the site safety and security requirements Active participant on the ABB Safety Committee

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 0-2 plus years of relevant work / military experience in Safety or HSE related role required OR Associate degree in a related field with 3-5 plus years of relevant work / military experience required OR High School Diploma with 7 plus years of relevant work / military experience required
  • Certifications preferred : OSHA 30 and Safety certification, CPR.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
