We are looking for a visual communicator who is passionate about inclusiveness and usability. You should have a solid grasp of design principles and know how to apply them to real-world challenges. You enjoy solving puzzles, pay attention to detail, and understand how color, typography, contrast, and layout shape the user experience and tone. You value clarity and restraint as essential components of meaningful, user-centered design. This role may be fully remote or involve a flexible hybrid work model that accommodates virtual and in-office collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Craft beautiful interfaces and dynamic interactions that make the complex look simple.
• Contribute to projects for clients in both the public and private sector.
• Design intuitive, accessible, responsive digital experiences across web and mobile.
• Work within and alongside design systems (we don't expect you to build them from scratch—yet).
• Collaborate with UX designers, developers, content strategists, and project managers in an Agile environment.
• Apply user-centered design principles to solve real-world problems.
• Clearly communicate design rationale to clients and internal teams.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will not have direct reports but will be expected to mentor junior teammates and to lead by example and influence.

Work environment and physical requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

Travel

Occasional travel to client site may be required on an as-needed basis.
