This position supports the Bureau of Land Management HQ720 Office. ?The BLM Experienced Services Program is a unique partnership created to help solve the workforce issues facing government agencies.

The program connects experienced workers (age 55+) to the BLM to provide scientific, technical, and administrative support.

• BLM ESP positions are meant to provide temporary, project-based support. This position is currently funded for an estimate of 2,016 hours.
• A background security investigation may be required prior to the start date. Only those positions with 30+ hours per week are eligible for health insurance benefits;

all positions will accrue sick leave. ?The experienced workers participating in the Program are referred to as ?Enrollees?

and are not employees of the BLM or NEW Solutions. NEW Solutions is the ESP non-governmental organization responsible for administrative aspects of the program, and the Enrollees work under BLM direction to assist the Agency staff in carrying out their mission.

Qualifications : BA / BS Degree

• Expertise in FA regulations, policies, & procedures; presentation skills
• Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS PowerPoint

Duties :

The enrollee will assist in the design and development of a Financial Assistance training program for a cadre of entry level Grants Management Specialists (GMS) to be coordinated and conducted at the BLM, with oversight by the BLM Financial Assistance Policy group.

• Design, schedule, administer & present comprehensive Financial Assistance Training 80%
• Provide mentoring on difficult and unprecedented situations and materials. 15%
• Coordinate Financial Assistance training with stakeholders and offices designated by BLM. 5%

• Travel Requirements : Present training at NTC or other
• Overnight travel : Possibly 2 to 4 nights
• Air travel anticipated : If training conducted at NTC or other selected location
• Physical requirements : Work will be primarily sedentary.
• Remote work arrangements are available for this position.
