We are seeking a Quality Engineer who will play a crucial role in selecting and working with the best vendors to secure top-quality materials for our assembly lines.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Review and analyze engineering and manufacturing specifications to select the best vendors for critical components.
  • Act as a liaison between product engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing personnel to address quality and delivery concerns.
  • Conduct regular supplier quality audits, ensuring compliance with federal standards and company requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with vendors to foster continuous improvement in quality and processes.
  • Analyze scrap reports and implement corrective actions to improve production outcomes.
  • Assist in completing First Articles of Inspection according to various customer specifications.
  • Maintain and update a supplier database, including performance evaluations and audit results.
  • Address packaging and receiving issues, coordinating with logistics teams to ensure seamless material handling.
  • Support additional tasks and projects as directed by management, adapting to shifting business needs.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to work with ERP systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration across teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Familiarity with government compliance and quality control regulations.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform repetitive wrist-arm motions in a manufacturing setting.
  • Capacity to alternate between sitting and standing frequently.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Prior experience in supplier quality engineering or a related field.
  • Advanced understanding of ISO 9001 and other industry standards.
  • Hands-on experience with supplier performance evaluations and corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing audits and regulatory standards.
