Key Responsibilities :
- Review and analyze engineering and manufacturing specifications to select the best vendors for critical components.
- Act as a liaison between product engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing personnel to address quality and delivery concerns.
- Conduct regular supplier quality audits, ensuring compliance with federal standards and company requirements.
- Collaborate closely with vendors to foster continuous improvement in quality and processes.
- Analyze scrap reports and implement corrective actions to improve production outcomes.
- Assist in completing First Articles of Inspection according to various customer specifications.
- Maintain and update a supplier database, including performance evaluations and audit results.
- Address packaging and receiving issues, coordinating with logistics teams to ensure seamless material handling.
- Support additional tasks and projects as directed by management, adapting to shifting business needs.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to work with ERP systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration across teams.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
- Familiarity with government compliance and quality control regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform repetitive wrist-arm motions in a manufacturing setting.
- Capacity to alternate between sitting and standing frequently.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Prior experience in supplier quality engineering or a related field.
- Advanced understanding of ISO 9001 and other industry standards.
- Hands-on experience with supplier performance evaluations and corrective actions.
- Familiarity with manufacturing audits and regulatory standards.
