PAY RANGE : $98,600.00 - $115,000.00 ANNUALLY
GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
The Supervisor of Learning Operations plays a pivotal role in overseeing the technical training initiatives and ensuring the optimization of business unit performance.
Leading a team of learning professionals, they are responsible for the daily activities associated with delivering onboarding and everboarding for Golden 1 employees aligned with our credit union's core functions.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS :
- Lead and inspire a team of learning professionals dedicated to delivering technical training on the core functions of a credit union.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the learning operations team.
- Support the development, implementation, and delivery of comprehensive technical training programs that align with the credit union's core functions.
- Deliver outcome-based and engaging learning experiences for respective business units.
- Monitor ongoing training initiatives, making real-time adjustments to optimize program outcomes.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders and stakeholders to understand specific training needs and align programs with organizational goals.
- Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure the success of learning initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of the credit union's learning and development strategy, aligning it with business goals and industry best practices.
- Foster a positive and engaging work environment for each team member by promoting skill development, coaching for improvement and growth, inspiring others through your words and actions, ensuring positive employee morale throughout Golden 1, and embracing our mission, vision, and core values.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the pertinent regulatory requirements and risks inherent to job responsibilities, establish, and maintain control activities that mitigate those risks consistent with the Credit Union’s risk appetite, and ensure operational integrity and compliance with applicable regulations.
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASK :
- Strong written and verbal skills and the ability to present information positively, professionally, logically, and concisely.
- Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate a personal computer and other standard office equipment, such as multi-purpose copier and telephone.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS :
- INTERNAL : All Levels of Staff
- EXTERNAL : Partner and maintain positive relationships with external vendors and peers in financial institutions.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- EDUCATION : Bachelor's degree in Education, Training and Development, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- EXPERIENCE : A minimum of 5 years in learning and development roles, with a focus on new hire onboarding and role-based technical training.
Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role is desirable. Familiarity with the credit union industry and an understanding of its core functions.
Relevant certifications in learning and development or training management may be advantageous.

- Contact Center or Branch experience in the financial industry preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Combined sitting, standing, and moving throughout the day performing work-related functions.
- Vision in the normal range to accomplish tasks.
- Hearing within the normal range required. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS :
A valid California Driver’s License is required. Certifications such as Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or other relevant certifications are preferred.
