Assistant Controller
Overview
The Assistant Controller oversees financial operations, partnering closely with the Director of Finance and COO. Responsibilities include managing cash flow, accounts payable, monthly reporting, budgeting, and the year-end audit.
The role also involves supervising the outsourced accounting team and supporting the development of annual budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly reconciliations and reports
- Annual budgeting and audit preparation
- Supervising outsourced accounting team
- Grant and revenue accounting with Development Director
- Special projects and ad hoc reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA / MBA preferred)
- 5+ years in accounting and budgeting
- Experience with QuickBooks, Bill.com, Google Sheets
- Nonprofit accounting experience preferred
