WHAT YOU WILL DO
Work alongside the marketing team to create actionable plans for social media campaigns and event promotions.
Build community by interacting with followers, students, and other USF offices and answer questions through social pages.
Monitor postings to ensure brand messages are consistent across marketing channels and mediums.
Attend weekly creative meetings to check in on projects, share concepts and ideas, and stay collaborative within the team.
Utilize Canva or similar design tools to create visually appealing graphics, flyers, and other promotional materials for social media platforms.
Manage and update social media accounts, with a particular focus on Instagram, with engaging and informative content related to career development resources and events.
Track and analyze engagement metrics, such as reach, impressions, likes, comments, and shares, to identify trends and optimize future social media campaigns.
Write captivating and concise captions that effectively communicate the value of our services, events, and resources to our target audience.
Conduct research to find relevant and trending hashtags for Instagram, incorporating them strategically into posts to maximize discoverability and engagement.
Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions on social media platforms promptly and professionally.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to ensure our social media presence remains fresh and innovative.
Assist with other marketing and communication tasks as needed.
Like all of our student employees, assist with general front desk and event operations as scheduled, and utilize Handshake to help manage employer registrations, student appointments, and events as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING
Familiar with collaboration tools like Slack and Google Suite
Familiarity with Canva
Ability to work independently, as well as within a team on larger projects
A strong sense of cultural trends and design
Comfort working within brand guidelines and templates to keep marketing cohesive, on-brand, and consistent.
Collaborative skills and ability to take feedback and implement it into work
Strong social and communication skills, quick learner, and comfortable with a variety of organizational systems
Hunger to learn and grow with an open mind to new concepts, ideas, and design theories
Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week during the academic year.
BONUS EXPERIENCE
Familiarity with Trello, a project management and organization tool
Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite
Copywriting and / or proofing experience
Photography and / or Video experience (editing is a huge plus!)
