Accounts Payable Manager
LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a full-time Accounts Payable Lead in the St Petersburg, FL area. Our client is looking to bring on an Accounts Payable Manager to support a standard office structure and oversee the AP department.
This role will be in a fast-paced environment with team and independent projects or tasks. In addition, this role will be onsite.
Manage and lead a team of accounts payable professionals.
Assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests
Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team efficiency and effectiveness.
Oversee the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
Sort, code and match invoices
Monitor several email accounts for invoices / documentation
Enter and upload invoices into system
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoices and payments.
Coordinate the processing of payments to vendors.
Implement and maintain efficient payment workflows.
Assist in the month-end closing process, including reconciling accounts payable transactions.
Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable function.
Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations related to accounts payable.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field
Several years directly managing a team.
Experience worked at a large company who has billed up to 12k invoices per month (as a team)
Good tenure is a must
Will use general accounting procedures
proficient in data entry and management
4-5 years accounts payable or general accounting experience
Deadline and detail-oriented
Compensation : 75K- 90K
