Portfolio Company Recruiter

POSITION OVERVIEW :

Black Dragon Capital seeks a proactive, efficient, and resourceful Recruiter, with private equity and venture capital sector experience to join the firm’s Human Recourses team.

This person will play a key role in our overall recruiting process as part of an inclusive, dynamic, and engaging team. We are looking for a successful recruiter who will collaborate with Human Resources, the hiring manager and the Executive Leadership team on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs.

To be considered an ideal candidate for this role, you need to have an excellent understanding of hiring across a variety of skill sets, efficient interviewing capabilities and decision-making skills, and great organization and verbal skills.

Must be able to thrive in a fast moving and changing environment.

You will need to have a strong working knowledge of private equity and venture capital firms, financial & technical roles, SaaS sales, as well as in-depth knowledge of the recruitment process.

You should have a knack for seeking people out and analyzing character on the spot. Then this is the role for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline.
• Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications and performing phone screenings.
• Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers.
• Conduct initial interviews, maintaining accurate candidate notes and rating scales.
• Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the team.
• Take ownership of candidate experience by designing and managing job postings, and position requirements.
• Demonstrated experience providing candidate assessments as necessary.
• Arrange management interviews by coordinate schedules, and any required travel arrangements.
• Perform reference checks as need.
• Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices.
• Manage the overall job posting, interview and selection process, ensuring all screening, and selection is done in accordance with company policies, employment laws and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years’ experience with full life cycle recruiting in an investment or private equity -focused environment or staffing firm supporting financial services clients.
• MUST have private equity and venture capital experience - FinTech recruiting experience preferred.
• Prior experience working for a search firm, coupled with investment experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to creatively recommend sourcing strategies utilizing job boards, associations, employee referral programs, social media and internet searches.
• Knowledge of recruiting technology (Boolean search logic, LinkedIn Recruiter, Workday, Outlook, Web, Excel, PowerPoint and Word) preferred
• Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic, high-touch environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, stress etc.)
• Hands on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference check etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Highly organized and detailed with the ability to present to C-suite.
