QUALITY ASSURANCE TEAM LEADER

W2 CONTRACT (USC / GC)

ON-SITE / TALLAHASSEE, FL

Primary Job Duties and Tasks

The activities this candidate will be tasked with include, but are not limited to the following :

  • Enterprise Test Strategy Development :
  • Develop and implement a robust testing strategy that encompasses the scope of both the modernization project and the continued maintenance of the legacy system.
  • Create detailed governance documents, test plans for effective functional and technical resource utilization, test cases / scripts, and execution and monitoring plans.
  • Automation Implementation :
  • Design and implement automated test plans in Azure DevOps.
  • Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps for test automation, including the utilization of artificial intelligence for the creation of test cases.
  • Coordination :
  • Coordinate with project managers, developers, and functional and technical stakeholders to align testing and planning activities with overall project goals.
  • Quality Assurance and Control :
  • Oversee all phases of a variety of testing (SIT, UAT, etc.) to ensure software quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Manage SIT and UAT defect tracking and resolution processes.
  • Performance and Stress Testing :
  • Plan and execute performance and stress tests to evaluate system stability and scalability.
  • Analyze test results and provide insights for system enhancements and optimizations.
  • Data Conversion Testing :
  • Plan and execute data conversion load validation for source to target.
  • Plan and execute functional data conversion testing to confirm core functions execute successfully with converted data.
  • Reporting and Documentation :
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, results, and metrics.
  • Regularly report on testing progress, challenges, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement :
  • Continuously assess testing processes and tools for potential improvements.
  • Stay updated on new testing methodologies and technologies.
  • Additional Duties :
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases.
  • Manage and generate test data required for executing test cases.
  • Collaborate with System Integrator vendors to set up and maintain test environments.
  • Identify, document, and report bugs and issues using bug tracking tools.
  • Work closely with SI vendor developers to troubleshoot issues and refine products.
  • Conduct performance testing to assess applications' behavior under various levels of load and stress.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The submitted candidate must be able to apply common knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of SLA Test Management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and functional stakeholders and establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and executing tactics.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience with large-scale modernization technology projects.

Education and Certifications

  • Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience (Required).
