Description
The Technical Project Manager will oversee and manage technical projects related to satellite systems, space missions, and related technologies.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning : Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, resources, and budget. Define project deliverables and milestones.
- Execution : Lead project execution, coordinating tasks, managing resources, and ensuring alignment with technical requirements and project goals.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate project risks, addressing issues proactively to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Technical Oversight : Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring that technical solutions meet project requirements and quality standards.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Documentation : Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project reviews.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience : 4+ years of experience in project management roles, with a strong track record of managing technical projects.
- Technical Skills : Solid understanding of technical concepts and experience managing projects in software development, IT systems, or engineering.
- Project Management Skills : Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
- Communication : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges and deliver effective solutions.
- Certifications : Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are required.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret and / or a TS / SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Education : Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience : 6+ years of experience in technical project management, with experience leading large-scale and complex projects.
- Advanced Skills : Expertise in advanced project management methodologies and tools, including experience with Agile and Scrum frameworks.
- Technical Expertise : In-depth knowledge of technical systems and technologies relevant to space exploration or satellite systems.
- Certifications : Advanced project management certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)).
- Industry Experience : Experience in aerospace or technology sectors, particularly with applications related to space technology or satellite systems
