Job Opportunity
Responsible for daily care and administration of children in before and after school enrichment program located within the elementary school setting. Screens, hires, trains, and develops all staff associated with the program. Purchase program supplies, equipment, and food items within budgetary guidelines. Ensure the general health, welfare, and well-being of each child. Plan daily lessons and maintain Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) requirements for both staff and children. Schedule and accompany off-site field trips. Responsible for being a good communicator to all children, parents, administration, supervisors, and co-workers, providing excellent customer service. Enroll and attend 15 hours of off-site in-service annually. Learn and observe all JCPRD guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Days : M-F
Hours : 7 : 00 A.M. - 8 : 15 A.M. & 3 : 00 P.M. - 6 : 00 P.M. + 7 additional planning hrs. / week
Summer hours are 40 hours / week

Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree preferred in Education, Physical Education, Administration of Parks and Recreation, Early Childhood, Child Psychology, or relevant field. Four years of relevant experience can be substituted for a degree. Professional Experience : Required 1 year experience with school age children in organized setting. Required Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices. Self-motivation and ability to prioritize personal responsibilities and accomplish job tasks with autonomy from close supervision. Leadership and supervisory skills. Must successfully pass a driving, education, and criminal background check.
