As a Server on the Tex-Mex Team, you will set the stage and have a direct impact on each guest’s experience. Your level of service will determine whether each guest feels welcome, appreciated and well taken care of.
As a server, it is required you maintain an energetic, friendly, and giving attitude at all times. It is your responsibility to make each guest feel as our real boss, our #1 priority and thoroughly enjoys their dining experience.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :
- Welcome and greet guests.
- Make our guests feel comfortable and let them know that you’re there to personally take care of them.
- Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant services.
- Take food and beverage order from guests, enter orders into point-of-sale system.
- Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.
- Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change.
- Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by management.
- Monitor guests dining experience to ensure they are satisfied with the food and service.
- Respond promptly and courteously to requests and communicate guest feedback to managers.
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Obtain strong working knowledge of menu by completing server training.
- Attend all scheduled team member meetings.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

- Previous restaurant experience not required, but preferred.
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information to customers and other team members.
- Ability to add and subtract two and three digit numbers and perform these operations using units of American money.
- Ability to operate computer point-of-sale system.
- Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
- Food Handler Certification required.
- TABC Certification required.
