The Screening Support Specialist will review and verify supporting documents for all applications after screening is completed within the Property Management System to provide final decision for applicant.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and will be able to work independently with little supervision.

This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting office and field personal alike .

  • Pull all applicants’ data daily and verify all applicable documents have been uploaded to the application in the Property Management System to decide eligibility for screening
  • Conduct screening for all eligible applicants
  • Daily communication with the properties for applicants that cannot be screened due to missing docs or not having valid docs and obtain those for timely screening
  • Learn and ensure compliance with respective properties rental criteria to complete screening
  • Check employment verification and rental verification, income requirements, credit, criminal background to finalize the decision for move-in or denial
  • Elect decision in Property Management System and communicate decision to the on-site team
  • Ensure charging of appropriate security deposits against screening results
  • Process denials and generate letter to the unsuccessful applicants
  • Analyze applicants’ data and prepare daily / weekly / monthly reports for Executives perusal

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience as Leasing Manager or Assistant Community Manager in the Property Management Industry strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Housing Compliance and Laws required
  • Proficient in Onesite and Microsoft Products preferred
  • Effective communication and organizational skills required

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions :

  • Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday
  • Push, pull, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, and reach above shoulders
  • Must be able to type efficiently
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to work indoors / outdoors or in extreme weather conditions
  • Must be able to work weekends and / or evenings on a rotating schedule
