Global Portfolio and ETF Trading, Sales and Trading Analyst

Job Purpose :

BTIG seeks a Sales and Trading Analyst to join our Global Portfolio and ETF Trading Desk. The ideal candidate will utilize a systematic approach to portfolio implementation.

BTIG’s Global Portfolio and ETF Trading team is focused on achieving the best performance for clients. Our experienced team is led by market-proven professionals who partner with clients on their toughest needs.

The analyst will receive hands-on, collaborative training from our sales traders to learn the business and enhance their skills.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Work alongside trading desk to understand global financial markets
• Assist the sales team to maintain and develop new relationships and customers
• Partner with software engineers to improve the desk’s trading strategies and workflow
• Analyze data sets to understand market and client behaviors, to enhance our offering
• Work with our proprietary index application to provide market leading analysis to our customers

Requirements & Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Science or Technology
• General knowledge of equity products, especially portfolio and ETF trading.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to demonstrate acute attention to detail in a fast-paced entrepreneurial team environment
• Highly organized and efficient at multitasking, while demonstrating good judgement in challenging situations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• General experience in a programming language (R, Python, C++, Java), is an advantage
• BTIG offers competitive compensation and is required by law to include an estimate of the salary range for each role. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.
• The current base salary range for this role is $80,000-$90,000 per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
