Job DescriptionOur client, a network oriented managed service provider, is looking for a Field Network Engineer to join their team.
They are a growing company with a steadily growing client base. They need someone highly technical to come in and help them address client needs utilizing a variety of NOC and wireless networking equipment.
The ideal candidate has experience doing IT consulting and VAR work. They do a lot of work with wireless networking technology like Cisco Meraki, Aruba, vLAN, and SDWANs.
They also help their clients redesign and deploy FortiGate into their infrastructures. Tech wise, they need someone strong with Cisco products, FortiGate, Aruba, CLIs, and vLAN.
This is a direct hire, fully onsite position based out of Richardson, Texas. They need someone comfortable traveling to client sites 30-50% of the time on both a local and national scale.
Compensation is a $50-60K salary. Required Skills & Experience
- VAR, consulting, and / or MSP experience.
- Experience doing top to bottom networking from support to implementations to design.
- Experience working with a variety of wireless networking technologies.
- NOC experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel 30-50% of the time.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 3-4 years of experience working in network engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in a VAR, consulting shop, or MSP.
