Responsibilities Identifies volunteer services within the local community to meet the needs of the community, patients, and families.

Responsible for meeting the Medicare 5% requirement for volunteer services. Engages within local communities to promote volunteer recruitment and provide education on hospice volunteer services.

Arranges for the assignment of volunteers and provision of volunteer support to patients / caregivers based on the volunteer plan of care.

Provides information to individuals and community groups about hospice volunteer program. Evaluates the volunteer program on an ongoing basis to determine if changes are needed to the services being provided.

Participates in QAPI activity. Investigates and resolves complaints related to volunteer services for assigned care center.

Escalates as needed to regional manager of volunteer services. Conducts in-person assessment for field activity sign-off or patient care visits.

Complies with policies, procedures, and regulatory mandates. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree.

May be substituted with three years' experience in a related field. Must be familiar with general use and functions of computer;

internet; e-mail, navigation / starting programs. Self-manage online HR services and training. Preferred One year of direct or indirect supervisory or leadership experience.
