Job Description

The Brand Marketing Manager is responsible for driving sales and traffic through consumer-facing marketing programs with special emphasis on go-to-market strategy, the development of traffic-driving promotions and partnerships, as well as public relations and communications.

The Brand Marketing Manager works directly with agency partners to ensure all tactics and messaging are executed on time and in the brand voice.

This position is vital to the successful execution of the Marketing function and reports directly to the Director of Brand Marketing.

Restaurant marketing experience is preferred .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Collaborates with external partners and the creative agency to develop promotional materials and marketing elements that align with the overall brand voice, platform, and strategy and to increase sales.
  • Coordinates with cross-functional internal team and external partners to ensure execution of all major promotions on the Marketing calendar, including new products, promotions, special events and PR activity.
  • Ensures strong project management practices and execution are employed by team to deliver successful system-wide embracement and activation of limited-time menu items and marketing programs.

Key contributor in holding all promo deadlines together.

  • Manages weekly GTM meetings to determine and enforce cross-functional key executional timelines.
  • Critical marketing liaison with IT to ensure consistent communication of IT needs for each calendar initiative.
  • Provides support in development, launch and evaluation of test products and new platforms, including but not limited to :
  • Gather competitive information related to new LTOs, platforms and pricing.
  • Work with cross-functional team members to develop TMAPs (Test Marketing Action Plans)
  • Support and provide assistance with consumer insights needs that may entail development and deployment of surveys to gauge feedback.
  • Manages pricing and menu changes for corporate stores, including all coordination with creative services, print vendor and internal & external IT partners.
  • Work with internal creative team to ensure social media effectively communicates marketing promotions, ensures brand consistency, and shares any other key business goals.
  • Collaborates with internal team and promotional partners to strategically promote the brand in consumer activations, sponsorship activities, and sweepstakes.
  • Ensures consistency of brand and promotional message throughout the organization, especially with materials designed to support the Training and Operations departments.
  • Assists with the design, management and oversight of all sweepstakes promotions, including budget management.
  • Works across business segments with other key stakeholders to communicate brand strategy in an impactful and meaningful way and to create cross-functional synergy for the brand.
  • Supports internal & external communication initiatives.
  • Manages ad-hoc inquiries from various internal parties and respond in a timely manner

Education and Experience Requirements :

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 2 5 years of Marketing experience, preferably with a restaurant chain, preferably in QSR.
  • Familiarity with variety of Microsoft-based programs, especially PowerPoint

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills ability to understand, synthesize and communicate key ideas is key to the success of this position

  • Strong project management skills with ability to drive projects and / or campaigns forward to completion while remaining highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Ability to work well under pressure with meeting deadlines in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to create program goals, messaging, communication, and overall event plans and manage programs to meet those goals
  • Problem-solver with the ability to anticipate and respond to the needs of stakeholders (e.g., internal and external customers, etc.) in a timely manner
  • Ability to adapt and adjust planned work through analyzing work demands, competing priorities, and tight deadlines
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results
  • Self-starter personality who can operate with minimal supervision
