Job Summary :
Provide key financial support including internal and external reporting, month-end closing duties, and analyzing and communicating project performance.
What You Will Do : Project Setup
Project Setup
- Assist in developing project budgets and financial plans in collaboration with project managers and the cost control team.
- Implement cost tracking systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Progress & Cost Tracking
- Monitor and report on project costs, analyzing variances from the budget and highlighting areas of concern to project managers and the Director, Cost Control.
- Update cost forecasts based on project progress and changes, ensuring an accurate reflection of financial status.
Scope & Change Management
- Support the assessment and documentation of project scope changes, evaluating their financial impact and processing change orders.
- Collaborate with project teams to manage scope changes and ensure budget adjustments are made promptly.
- Assist in identifying potential financial risks to projects, contributing to risk assessments and mitigation planning.
- Support the implementation of risk management strategies and controls to safeguard project budgets.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare regular cost reports and analyses for project teams and senior management, highlighting cost performance and areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders regarding cost-related issues and recommendations.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in cost control or financial analysis within the construction or related industry.
- Proficiency in cost management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
