The Healthcare Sales Representative will :
- Individual must be a self-starter with excellent oral, and written communication skills.
- Must be capable of managing multiple relationships, detail oriented, tenacious, and organized.
- Individual should have a strong ability to build long-term relationships with customers and must be able to respond timely to customers’ requests and follow-up on sales leads.
- Candidate shall possess strong technical knowledge to appropriately provide accurate sales quotes to the customers.
- Must have the ability to write reports, and business correspondences and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Must be able to attend outside client / customer appointments and conduct face-to-face prospecting on a daily basis.
- Must be a self-starter taking the initiative to develop and execute against a selling plan.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations / demos and close sales in a professional and effective manner by developing and generating sales proposals, quotations, and contracts for customers.
- Closely collaborate with various departments throughout the organization including pre-sales engineers, operations, finance, and service team members to obtain cost estimates on products and specific product applications.
- Follow up on sales leads and make cold calls to potential customers.
- Maintain a working knowledge of products and services and an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect healthcare technology.
- Learn and be proficient on all the demonstration equipment and attend trade shows as directed by the management team. ·Manufacturer and trade-based certifications may be required.
- Produce regular pipeline reports and final plans in a timely manner to the Sales Manager.
- Work with a wide variety of individuals at all levels.
- Consult with the estimating department to obtain cost estimates on products.
- Work with engineering department regarding system design and layouts.
- Maintain an up-to-date customer database.
- Review projects with project managers to determine timelines, cost limitations, procedures for accomplishing the tasks.
Healthcare Sales Representative Requirements :
- Minimum of three- five years of technical sales experience.
- Travel through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, approximately 70%.
- Bachelor’s degree from a college or university
- Previous experience selling to high level corporate executives on major accounts. This position requires selling efforts that cross a wide range of clients : from executives, nurses, consultants, architects, engineers, general contractors, and end-user clients.
- Previous experience selling capital systems in the healthcare industry is preferred but not mandatory.
