Location : Miami / Ft. Myers , FL Area

Salary Range : $70-109k DOE, P lus S ign- O n bonus

In this role, you’ll collaborate with teams in mining, asphalt production, transportation , and more, ensuring compliance with MSHA and OSHA regulations.

What You’ll Do :

  • Lead safety efforts to maintain accident-free environments, ensuring full compliance with company policies and MSHA regulations.
  • Perform MSHA and OSHA inspections, audits, and investigations, developing audit checklists to drive continuous safety improvements.
  • Support regions in implementing effective safety management systems, minimizing risks and enhancing performance.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes to ensure accurate and up-to-date application of MSHA, OSHA, and other safety guidelines across all sites.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in surface / underground mining, asphalt production, concrete operations, and heavy transportation.
  • Participate in accident investigations, providing insights on root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Assist in developing and executing safety initiatives, such as emergency response plans, accident prevention programs, and training on regulatory compliance.
  • Be prepared for 25% travel, including some overnight stays in Ft. Myers, Moore Haven, and Ft. Pierce.

What You’ll Bring :

  • 3-5 years experience in safety compliance in an industrial or mining / aggregates environments
  • Expertise in surface or underground operations, Loss Control principles, and incident prevention
  • Bilingual English / Spanish, with the ability to communicate fluently in both languages
  • Strong knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, DOT, and ATF regulations is required
  • Ability to identify hazards and collaborate with teams to develop practical, effective safety solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and mobile devices, with experience using specialized industry equipment
