Description
Ohel is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional to lead a field-based innovative team that serves participants transitioning to the community from a higher level of care.
The position entails program oversight inclusive of staff training and development, program operations and administration, and fostering community engagement.
Responsibilities :
- Manage day-to-day activities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide counseling and support to participants in transition
- Conducting regular individual and group supervisory sessions, as well as staff training, oversight, and mentorship
- Develop relationships with hospitals and providers to facilitate successful transition for participants to expedite and solidify placement in community housing
- Manage team’s on-call duties and ensure 24 / 7 crisis response availability and provide crisis intervention service, including referrals to respite and other resources
- Maintain a caseload as necessary
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling or a related field required (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC)
- 3-5 years post-masters work experience in behavioral health and criminal justice, in a supervisory role
- Knowledge of mental illness, substance use disorders, and NYC behavioral health programs
- Preferred familiarity with systems and tools commonly utilized across HH programs (i.e MAPP, UAS, EMEDNY, PSYCKES).
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently as well as within a team and has excellent follow up skills.
This full-time position is available in Queens. Hybrid schedule offered, with home and community visits as needed. Position includes a competitive benefits package.
