What You'll Do The Surface Transportation Coordinator position focuses on assisting the Drayage and Transload Final Mile team and customers with all their transportation needs.

Receives guidance for overall objectives; work with operations and within company and department policies and guidelines using independent judgment to achieve assigned objectives.

Client and Carrier interaction Monitor Container / FTL movement and activities. Proficient in daily excel and outlook email use.

Dispatch containers and send release information to carriers within required timelines. Coordinate Delivery appts to accommodate customer needs.

Monitor and Manage any Delivery exceptions. Monitor and update all delivery milestones in system. Handle issues and Offer solutions.

Send Delivery Reports if required by Customer. Quoting Dray, Transload and FTL Movements internally Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Industry experience helpful Previous office experience required Experience in dispatch for Drayage / FTL movements Experience in Transload activities helpful.

Language Skills : Relies on written and verbal communication. Able to read, analyze and interpret financial reports, industry journals and legal documents.

Able to respond to verbal and written inquiries or complaints from customers. Able to effectively present information to customers, prospects, top management, and public groups.

Communicates internally with all departments at the corporate office, with other terminals, third parties agencies, customers and prospects.

Office Skills : Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and ten-key skills. Mathematical Skills : Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Specific Skills : Must possess a current valid driver's license.
