Shipping & Receiving Clerk

We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join a Municipal Equipment Supplier in Mooresville, NC who specialize in Street Sweepers and Sewer Cleaning equipment.

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Pay Rate : $17-17.50hr.

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for verifying and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments involving inventory.

Duties include verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material, arranging transportation of products, and preparing items for shipment.

Job Duties :

• Verify and record incoming merchandise and materials.
• Arrange for transportation of products.
• Track inventory and maintain accurate records.
• Package and weigh items for shipment.
• Print shipping labels and postage.
• Inspect goods received for damage and distribute products to other departments.
• Ensure correct packages are received and stocked appropriately.
• Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Promptly and safely unload trucks and deliveries; sort and stock receivables.
• Manage the shipment and receipt of orders related to products, materials, supplies, or consumer goods.
• Perform unloading / unpacking and verifying products.
• Prepare shipping documents.
• Conduct inventory / cycle count audits.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification.
• Competent clerical skills, including data entry.
• 24-36 months of logistics and customer service experience.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Dynamic attention to detail.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and a self-starter.
• Physical strength and the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Positive engagement with vendors and drivers.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations.
• Ability to continually learn and develop new skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Capability to stand for long periods of time.
