Job Description :
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording shipments. This role requires prior experience in a manufacturing company.
Knowledge of SAP is a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities :
- Communicate with the purchasing team about expected deliveries.
- Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon delivery.
- Unload pallets and packages from incoming trucks and containers.
- Inspect contents for damage and verify against orders for quantity and quality.
- Report any issues with shipments and coordinate returns or replacements as necessary.
- Label and allocate deliveries to designated locations.
- Maintain accurate records of received goods.
- Assist with inventory control through regular cycle counts.
- Assign storage locations and bins both physically and in SAP.
- Pick parts for customer and production orders as scheduled.
- Issue parts in SAP as instructed.
- Organize shelving and work areas to maintain an orderly workspace.
- Adherence to company safety policies and the use of required personal protective equipment is mandatory.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Prior manufacturing experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Capable of managing a busy work schedule and handling repetitive job responsibilities.
- Basic computer skills required; experience with MRP systems and SAP is a plus.
- Forklift operating experience is preferred.
