The primary responsibility of this position is to support and assist with undergraduate recruitment, retention, and graduation, and to help build a mutually supportive and nurturing environment in which all students feel welcomed and valued in the School of Computer Science.
Job Duties :
- Present the public face of the school in written and oral communication both in person and online with particular emphasis on our undergraduate programs.
- Coordinate academic affairs of undergraduate CS students including collecting and maintaining data / records and preparing reports, monitoring progress, and addressing issues that arise.
- Assist potential, prospective, and current undergraduate students through support activities for recruitment, visitation, orientation, advising, enrollment, scholarship / awards, education, mentorship, retention, degree completion, and employment.
- Address faculty needs as they relate to undergraduate curriculum, policies, and student progress.
- Provide general office and clerical support, receive incoming phone calls and departmental emails; manage mail and package delivery;
provide back-up support for departmental activity as needed.
- Assist the school on assessment activities related to undergraduate outcomes.
- Serves as liaison to WSSC
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to accomplish department goals.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
