We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled IT Infrastructure Architect / Systems Engineer to join our Information Technology (IT) team.
In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and delivering enterprise infrastructure solutions and services for the Crane Company’s global network.
This position is responsible for analyzing business and system requirements, recommending process and technology improvements, leading design and review of new systems, planning of implementations, and evaluations of projects.

Responsibilities and Duties :
- Applies thought leadership and provides advice on multiple technologies and shapes the long-term direction of the Enterprise.
- Contributes through vision and has significant impact on future IT technologies and strategy.
- Lead development of systems architectures, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external and internal customers.
- Leverages subject matter / industry expertise and applies in-depth knowledge of company goals to contribute to business objectives.
- Develops integrated business solutions across organizations and designs organizational standards for innovation.
- Directs projects of critical importance and works on next generation technologies and platforms.
- Design, implement and manage the organization's Azure cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure technologies.
- Ensure the availability, performance, reliability, and security of cloud platforms; includes meeting all backup, recovery and legal hold requirements based on policies and procedures.
- Design, implement and manage Microsoft Entra ID technologies in a complex, multi-forest / domain environment.
- Plan and implement updates and new features released to the Microsoft and Oracle cloud platforms in support of business requirements.
- Collaborate with the Global Information Security team to ensure security standards and policies are implemented and adhered to within cloud environments.
- Ensures adherence to all regulatory compliance processes and requirements, including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley, DFARS, ITAR and like regulations.
- Collaborate with Global business unit IT to ensure global initiatives are communicated, organized and implemented to meet organizational goals.
- Perform regular audits to monitor and optimize cloud technologies.
- Create and maintain system documentation related to cloud configurations, procedures, and policies (i.e. standard work.)
Qualifications and Competencies :
- Minimum 15 years of both hardware and software technical industry experience in areas of IT enterprise infrastructure architecture, systems engineering and support of on-premises and cloud technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies based on Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in both commercial and government tenancies.
- Experience developing large-scale infrastructures.
- Experience working to proactively identify cross program Infrastructure dependencies and potential downstream impact.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and related technologies.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 security features, data protection, compliance requirements, and ability to implement and enforce security best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize.
- Experience creating technical documentation and training material.
- Experience leading technical change in a non-hierarchical environment.
- Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with local and remote co-workers.
- Proficiency in performance monitoring and mail flow troubleshooting.
- Fundamental understanding of network and internet concepts (e.g., firewalls, load balancers, web browsers, TCP / IP, SSL, HTTP etc.)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; position involves heavy interaction with stakeholders from various functions.
- Preferred : Azure certifications on Architecture and Systems Engineering.
