Your work will ensure that Micron teams meet technology requirements with exceptional quality standards. You'll collaborate with teams with varied strengths to solve contamination issues and implement strategies for new materials.
Job Responsibilities
- Follow-up on safety and quality events to ensure timely containment, corrective, and preventative actions with G8D teams and other partners.
- Complete required safety training and ensure all work adheres strictly to safety policies.
- Perform 6S audits and submit good catches to prevent potential issues.
- Monitor critical metrics (Key Performance Indices) to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancements.
- Collaborate with peers locally and globally to align on Best Known Methods (BKMs) and SOPs that drive efficiency and reduce costs while improving fab quality.
- Enhance communication and collaboration with area, department, network partners, and external customers.
- Drive enhancements with IT / Host / Data Science teams for data collection, availability, and analysis.
- Form effective relationships with Operations Central Teams (OCT), High Volume Manufacturing (HVM), Technology Development (TD) labs, area engineering, Process Integration (PI), and support teams.
- Communicate proactively about issues that could impact safety, quality, yield, excursions, defects, or tool restrictions.
Technical / Data Analysis :
- Systematically review and test contamination hazards to mitigate risks from new materials and activities in the cleanroom.
- Provide support for fixing complex issues and addressing root causes.
- Stay updated on new analyzers and industry research regarding contamination impacts on quality and yield.
- Develop engineering solutions to detect, reduce, eliminate, and control contamination hazards.
- Collaborate with engineering and PI teams to comprehend processes, tools, and challenges, prioritizing and completing studies on AMC impacts.
- Drive action through effective data presentation and storytelling.
- Respond to chronic SPC performance issues by addressing root causes.
- Offer timely guidance to resolve contamination issues, engaging actively in problem resolution.
Project Management / Planning :
- Initiate and lead projects aimed at improving quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Apply effective project management tools and methods.
- Keep collaborators informed about project progress and challenges through regular communication.
- Champion a balance between central and critical initiatives.
- Organize tasks for maximum efficiency and challenge assumptions to drive improvements.
- Ensure successful project implementation into business processes / SOPs.
- Minimize duplication of effort through effective planning.
- Coordinate and lead meetings, tracking follow-up actions.
- Keep the team focused on priority issues within the project scope.
Qualifications :
- Ability to collaborate with people at all levels within and outside the company, working effectively to achieve team goals and business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams, translating requirements into actionable plans.
- Excellent English skills, both oral and written.
Education and Experience :
- BS degree or higher in engineering or a related field with equivalent quality management experience.
- 8+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including at least 4+ years in an international organization with revenue exceeding $1 billion.
