Job Summary / Basic Functions
The EKU RMI Coordinator plays a central role in generating funds for the RMI program, overseeing budgets, and managing various events and initiatives.
This includes organizing industry conferences, fundraising events, career fairs, and leadership days, as well as managing 15 Foundation accounts totaling $3.
0MM. The coordinator also maintains donor lists, coordinates solicitation efforts, and manages relationships with individual and corporate supporters.
Additionally, the role involves coordinating activities for Gamma Iota Sigma, overseeing student fraternity events, and acting as a liaison with the national office.
The coordinator organizes "Industry Spotlight Days" where industry executives visit campus for seminars, secures funds for programs like the Spencer Education Foundation Risk Manager in Residence, and manages nationwide scholarship and internship opportunities for RMI students.
Furthermore, the incumbent administers the EKU / RMI scholarship program, ensuring qualified students receive scholarships, and coordinates the distribution of 15 RMI scholarships.
Assisting with travel arrangements, budgets and student communications.
Minimum Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
Experience : - Minimum of one year experience in higher education, office management, business administration and / or budgeting is required.
Specific higher education experience in scholarship administration, development, accounting and budgeting, counseling, and advising are highly preferred.

Job Duties :
35% - Coordinate and manage the following : budgets, programs and events generating funds for the RMI program; faculty & course schedules;
GIS activities; and industry spotlight days. - (Essential)
25% - Coordinate and plan regular student and faculty trips to insurance industry conferences throughout the U.S. and occasionally overseas.
Travel with students to these events. - (Essential)
- 15% - Coordinate the solicitation and awarding of the external and internal scholarships awarded to RMI students. Maintain and solicit student internships with industry employers, coordinate RMI student applications to those internships. - (Essential)
- 15% - Coordinate Gamma Lunch and Learns, attend recruitment events within and without the university. - (Essential)
- 10% - Delegate work to and supervise the student administrative assistant. Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - (Essential)
