Our Systems Specialists participate in the installation, startup, and commissioning of building automation system equipment that has been newly installed and supports the verification of the system database and programming, ensuring consistency with the scope of work and sequence of operations.

As a Systems Specialist, you will :
Commissions new direct digital control systems on construction sites within planned timelines Documents commissioning details;
communicates deficiencies and progress
- More advanced roles act as a lead technician planning work with Team Leader
- Network technologies : Performs data back-up from data servers and creates automated back-up procedures. Troubleshoots and resolves inconsistencies in the functions or sequence of operations Configures PC workstations and user interfaces.
Confirms proper network performance
Operational testing, verification, and acceptance : Runs routine reports to review system operation Performs final inspection, testing and customer acceptance.
Provides customer training on system operations. Completes and submits routine written reports. Provides plans and control system documents to engineering for as-built drawings
- Project site communication and coordination : Coordinates trade contractors to perform startup services
- Submits accurate time and expense reports
- Adheres to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures
You will make an impact with these qualifications :
Basic Qualifications :
- Electro-mechanical aptitude (based on previous experience and / or education) and user PC / software skill for the entry level opportunities
- In addition to the experience noted in the bullet above, a minimum of 3 years of experience programming, commissioning, running system diagnostics, and / or repairing building automation (BAS) / building management (BMS) systems for the more advanced positions
- Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems industry protocols, such as LON, BACnet, N2, Modbus, etc.
- Demonstrated use of reading, understanding, and interpreting design and construction documents
- Ability to work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high lift equipment, working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in various conditions
- Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet as well as able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Rotational On-Call and / or Minimal Overnight Travel
- Compressed schedule performance can be a factor and will require extended hours to meet commitments
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
Preferred Qualifications :
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate or Bachelor's degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or related
- 7+ years of experience programming, commissioning, running system diagnostics, and / or repairing building automation (BAS) / building management (BMS) systems

The pay range for this position is $52290 - $120480 / year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
