What you will bedoing :

  • Selling allaspects of events held within the hotel including corporate eventssocial functions weddings and other market segments as directed bybusiness strategy.
  • Generate and execute adefinitive sales strategy to meet and / or exceed departmentalrevenue goals consistently.
  • Responsible forselling all event functions including meeting with the clients todetermine needs and exceeding their expectations through detailedcommunication.
  • Networking inside and outsidethe hotel to obtain leads and build relationships with new andexisting clients.
  • Work with the Executive Chefand Food and Beverage Director to establish profitable andcompetitive event menus that meet clientsneeds.
  • Take responsibility of event functionsincluding maintaining the accuracy and effectiveness of all writtencommunication.

These procedures include but are not limited to : Menu and Event Proposals Contracts Banquet Event Orders DailyEvents Report and Opera S&C InputStandards.

  • Finalize the requirements ofpersonally events while maximizing revenue potential through upselling and ensuring effective communication both written (ResumesBEO Daily Reports) and personal contact with all departments forthe success of the event.
  • Ensure accuracy ofBanquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of program orevent.
  • Participate in meetings with hotel teamand clients including but not exclusive to : Morning OperationsBriefing Banquet Event Order Meeting Sales Meeting Menu Tastingsand Planning Site Visits.
  • Work with sales teamto service and solicit newbusiness.

Qualifications :

Yourexperience and skillsinclude :

  • University / Collegedegree in a related disciplinepreferred.
  • Outbound sales experience with aproven track record of sales performance (preferably 2 3 years ofexperience).
  • Seasoned with an operationbackground.
  • Strong organizational leadershipand project management skills arerequired.
  • Must be able to lead a team thinkstrategically and handle multipleprojects.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive theachievement of business goals through aligning people processstructure information and communicationsystems.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbaland written) required
  • Basic knowledge ofaudiovisual equipment internet telecommunication technologyhelpful.
  • Strong technical literacy includingMicrosoft Office Suite Banquet Event Order software and knowledgeof Opera Sales and Cateringsoftware.
